- Take a sauce pan & heat water along with sugar, let it boil till the syrup achieves two string consistency. Once the sugar syrup turns a little thick, put off the stove & keep aside.
- Take another pan, boil milk, saffrin and sugar in medium flame untill the milk is reduced to about 1/4th of it's original quantity.
- Stir continuously, once the milk is reduced, add elaichi/ cardamom powder & mix well.
- Continue to heat it by stirring continuously for 5 more minutes, once it's done remove from heat and set aside.
- Take bread slices & cut them into half(triangle shape or rectangular shape)
- Shallow fry the bread slices in oil till it becomes crispy. Once it's done, soak the slices in sugar syrup for about a minute.

- Arrange the soaked slices on the serving dish. Pour the rabri over the bread slices & garnish with chopped nuts & cherries. Serve hot.
